North-West Cameroon (Cameroon 2020)
Since 2016, violence between state and non-state armed groups in the English-speaking regions of North-West and South-West Cameroon has led to the explosion of humanitarian needs. Armed raids, attacks, torture or sexual violence have not spared the civilian population. As a result, nearly 680,000 people are today displaced according to the United Nations, and 52,000 have fled to neighboring Nigeria.
The crisis has severely affected the local health system while medical needs soared. Most health centers have been deserted or are no longer able to function normally.
