Just before 7pm on Saturday 16th April, the earth began to shake in Ecuador. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that followed was one of the worst to hit the country in recent decades. According to official figures, nearly 700 people dies and another 28.700 were displaced after their houses were partially or completely destroyed.
