Albert Masias photography

My name is Albert Masias and I'm a photojournalist, visual storyteller, editor and trainer. 

For the past few years I have been working in the humanitarian and NGO sector as AV producer, communication strategist, project manager and production team manager.I believe in storytelling to not only testify and document the fissures of this unequal world, but also to show resilience and positive human stories. 

I have a deep interest in ethical complexities involved in storytelling and representation, as well as in the processes of analyzing and deconstructing a colonial gaze that still persist in many different layers. 

Having studied a Degree in Humanities, I also use photography as a way of personal expression and artistic exploration. 

I believe in constant learning and in managing one's own incoherences. Photography should not give answers but rather generate questions.
